Take 3 drops per day, equivalent to 400 IU (international units), which equals 10µg, or as recommended by your paediatrician, in a glass of water or directly into the mouth. We recommend that parents follow the dosage carefully to avoid overdosing.

What does Sunny Baby contain?

In its opinion published in 2021, ANSES retained a quantity of 10 µg (400 IU, international units) per day as a satisfactory intake, which corresponds to 3 drops of Sunny Baby. Furthermore, EFSA set an upper safety limit of 25 µg/day for children under 6 months and 35 µg/day as the safety limit for those aged 6 months to 1 year (EFSA 2018).

The ANSM (French National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Health Products) has recorded cases of overdose.

It is essential to follow the recommended dosage for supplements to avoid overdose. If you have any questions or wish to adjust the dose of your supplement, it is best to consult your paediatrician.

No, the recommendations from the Ministry of Health are very strict: sun exposure for babies is not advised. For children and adolescents, sun exposure is possible, but parents should ensure they are well protected. This is because their skin and eyes are delicate and far more sensitive to UV rays. They are at greater risk of sunburn, which in particular increases the risk of developing skin cancer in adulthood.

First of all, our food supplement contains vitamin D of plant origin. Some products use one of animal origin — lanolin (a fat derived from sheep's wool).
Our baby vitamin D contains no harmful excipients that can be found in other products (additive E 320 (butylhydroxyanisole), emulsifier, polysorbate 80, etc.).

Choking can occur particularly when administering supplements using a full pipette, which represents quite a significant volume. With our dropper pipette, this is not an issue. The amount administered is very small and is given little by little.
At the time of administration, you can position the child in a semi-upright position.

In children, vitamin D is beneficial for their health. It is necessary for normal growth and bone development, and it also contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system in children.

In terms of diet, there are several foods that contain it. The richest sources are oily fish and liver oils. It can also be found in other foods such as milk, cheese, butter and yoghurt. Plant-based foods naturally contain very little vitamin D.
