For your end-of-year celebrations, a delicious and healthy little dessert made with poached pear!

Ingredients

Serves 6:

– 6 firm pears (Conference, for example)

– 2 tablespoons of lemon juice

– 200 ml of grape juice with no added sugar

– 200 ml of water

– 1 cinnamon stick

– 1 handful of Granochoc granola with chocolate chips, enriched with iron, to boost your intake and energy levels.

Recipe

Peel the pears, keeping the stalks intact. To prevent them from oxidising, place them quickly in a bowl of cold water with lemon juice.

In a small saucepan, gently heat the water and grape juice with the cinnamon stick over a low heat. Stand the pears upright in the saucepan and bring to the boil.

Reduce the heat, cover, and leave to simmer gently for approximately 40 minutes, until the pears are tender. Remove from the heat, leave the pears to cool in the saucepan, then place them in a dish, cover, and refrigerate for at least 6 hours.

When ready to serve, place one pear on each plate and crumble the Happy Seeds squares on top.
