At Jolly Mama, we chose not to include magnesium in Baby Bump. Adding magnesium to the formula would have resulted in a quantity per dose too low to cover the recommended daily requirements during pregnancy. We did not want this to be misleading, suggesting that our pregnancy food supplement Baby Bump was sufficient to meet your magnesium needs. Managing magnesium intake during pregnancy: Assessing your needs: Magnesium requirements increase during pregnancy, with daily recommendations ranging from 310 mg to 400 mg depending on age. Dietary sources: Magnesium is found in a variety of foods such as green leafy vegetables, nuts, seeds and legumes. However, it can be difficult to reach the recommended intake through diet alone. Targeted supplementation: To address increased magnesium needs, we offer our pregnancy magnesium supplement Mama-gnésium, a food supplement containing highly bioavailable magnesium bisglycinate. This form is easily absorbed by the body and very well tolerated.
