This book is designed for all expectant mothers, from the very start of their pregnancy, as well as for those who wish to prepare for this period with a suitable diet. It is also an excellent resource for partners and companions who want to cook healthy, delicious meals for a pregnant woman.

Yes! Unlike a standard cookbook, all the recipes have been specifically formulated to meet the nutritional needs of pregnancy. They contain essential nutrients (iron, omega-3, vitamin B9 (folates), choline...) and avoid ingredients that are not recommended during this period.

Our book is much more than just a collection of recipes! It combines nutrition, wellbeing and expert advice to support expectant mothers throughout their pregnancy. It also includes specialist interviews, practical infographics and a TRUE/FALSE section on food myths.

The book is available directly on our Jolly Mama website, as well as at many bookshops.

Of course! Many of the tips and recipes are also beneficial when trying for a baby, during the postpartum period and while breastfeeding. These are wholesome and delicious recipes, packed with nutrients, and therefore suitable for everyone. 

Yes, absolutely! Although these recipes are designed to meet the specific needs of pregnant women, they are also delicious, balanced and suitable for the whole family. You can share them with your partner, your children or your loved ones without any concern. They are made with wholesome, natural ingredients — perfect for anyone who wants to eat well whilst treating themselves!

No, having a Jolly Mama product is not required to make a recipe. We have indicated which products to use in certain recipes, such as our omega-3-rich spread Crazy nut for the marbled version, but this recipe can also be made with plain chocolate. Regarding our organic bone broth Mama Poule, which can also be used, but we share an alternative recipe you can make yourself. Likewise, our seeded bread mix, gluten-free, Jolly bread, can be used in certain dishes, but an alternative recipe is also suggested!
